About Us

The Newington Student Assistance Fund (NSAF) is a non-profit organization located in Newington, Connecticut. It was organized in 1966 by the Newington Jaycees and by PTA and civic representatives. The organization meets the requirements under Section 501(c))(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

NSAF Objective

  • The objective of the organization is to raise money for the purpose of assisting Newington residents to obtain post secondary education or training. Such assistance is awarded on the basis of the needs and relative merits of the applicants without regard to their race, sex, creed or national origin.
  • In 2016, we marked 50 years of service to the Newington community. NSAF has granted over 1,000 interest-free tuition loans totaling over one million dollars to eligible Newington applicants for all types of post-secondary education or training.
  • We hope you will join us in supporting our mission by making a donation to provide loans to all eligible applicants. The donation process can be found on the Fundraising page.
